An Open Community to discuss and share the technical and operational knowledge of Digital Signatures and Public Key Infrastructure has been established with the support of the CCA(Controller of Certifying Authorities, Govt. of India) through a project funded to C-DAC (Centre for Development of Advanced Computing) Bangalore. The objective of this Community/forum is to share the concepts and implementation of Digital Signature and Public Key Infrastructure in order to facilitate their adoption in a wide-ranging spectrum of applications. डिजिटल हस्ताक्षर और सार्वजनिक कुंजी अवसंरचना के तकनीकी और परिचालन ज्ञान पर चर्चा करने और साझा करने के लिए एक खुला समुदाय सीसीए (प्रमाणन प्राधिकारियों का नियंत्रक, भारत सरकार) के समर्थन से सी-डैक (सेंटर फॉर डेवलपमेंट ऑफ एडवांस्ड कंप्यूटिंग) बैंगलोर को वित्त पोषित एक परियोजना के माध्यम से स्थापित किया गया है। इस समुदाय/फोरम का उद्देश्य अनुप्रयोगों के व्यापक स्पेक्ट्रम में डिजिटल हस्ताक्षर और सार्वजनिक कुंजी अवसंरचना को अपनाने की सुविधा के लिए उनकी अवधारणाओं और कार्यान्वयन को साझा करना है।

The National Centre for Digital Trust has been established to cater increasing demand for robust digital security in the face of rising cyber threats and regulatory requirements. The Centre aims to enhance security through advanced PKI technologies, ensuring trusted authentication and encryption for digital interactions. The Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA) has been appointed by the Central Government under section 17 of the Act for the purpose of IT Act. The office of the CCA aims at promoting the growth of e-Commerce and e-Governance through the wide use of digital signatures. The CAs issues Digital Signature Certificates to the subscribers. The CCA certifies the public keys of CAs using its own private key, which enables user in the cyberspace to verify that a given certificate is issued by a licenced CA. प्रमाणन प्राधिकारियों का नियंत्रक (सीसीए) केंद्र सरकार द्वारा आईटी अधिनियम के प्रयोजन के लिए अधिनियम की धारा 17 के तहत नियुक्त किया गया है। सीसीए के कार्यालय का उद्देश्य डिजिटल हस्ताक्षर के व्यापक उपयोग के माध्यम से ई-कॉमर्स और ई-गवर्नेंस के विकास को बढ़ावा देना है। सीए ग्राहकों को डिजिटल हस्ताक्षर प्रमाणपत्र जारी करते हैं। सीसीए अपनी निजी कुंजी का उपयोग करके सीए की सार्वजनिक कुंजियों को प्रमाणित करता है, जो साइबर स्पेस में उपयोगकर्ता को यह सत्यापित करने में सक्षम बनाता है कि दिया गया प्रमाणपत्र एक लाइसेंस प्राप्त सीए द्वारा जारी किया गया है।
